Supervised Student Listing for Field Trips:  I am in the process of posting the students that need to be supervised during field trips on the data portal. The list will be uploaded by Monday. The nurse will update the list on a regular basis so please check the list before you take your students on a field trip. We will send home some health forms from the nurse to be completed and returned by the parents on Monday. You can access the list of students who need to be supervised by clicking on the following link. (http://reports.ps201.org/student_health/)

Ms. Heskial and Mr. Cruz will be attending the Thirteenth Annual Youth Development Master’s Institute in Arizona next week : Please call my office or Ms. Amott if there is an emergency or you have serious behavior problems. My office extension is 1070.

Morning Attendance Program: Due to extremely low attendance, we will be ending our morning attendance program effective Monday, May 7th. A letter was sent out on Friday informing parents of the end of the program. The ELA morning program and the Math after school program will continue.

Teacher Appreciation Week: Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week!  Please take some time this week to reflect on why you came to be a teacher. Pay homage to teachers in your past, teachers in your present, and the teachers yet to come.  Life hands us lessons in all stages of our lives, and we are constantly learning from one another.  As you navigate this week, please know that we recognize and appreciate all your dedication and hard work in ensuring that your students receive the best education possible. As a teacher, please remember that you contribute to the future each and every day and you are the best advocate for your students. Just as you remember your teachers, your students will remember you. As educators, through our students we all live on and that is the best reward anyone can get!

Please join us for breakfast in the library on Tuesday, May 8th at 7:40am provided by our wonderful PTA.

We cannot thank you enough for what you do for our students! Please join us in the library on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 7:30 a.m.  for a "thank you!" breakfast.  We look forward to seeing you!

Cluster Postings: Cluster postings will be sometime this week.

Curriculum Planning Team: We will start meeting as a team to discuss our curriculum and plan for next year. Team members will receive e-mail from me about the upcoming meetings.

Carnival: We will be able to have a carnival for our students thanks to the donations from our CBO partners and our PTA! Details to follow.

Reminder: ELA/Math Benchmark Results: As you know, we administered benchmark assessments to measure student understanding of grade level skills in ELA and math. We analyzed results and for each subject, came up with a summary sheet for you to review. We believe, the information will be helpful in differentiating for individual student's needs.
