Student Government

     This year marks the first year that the students of P.S 201 are participating in a Student Government.  Student Government consists of over 15 students in both grades 4 and 5 who have a desire to be the voice, eyes and ears of the student body.  After a lengthy election process of creating campaign posters, giving speeches and a school wide vote open to grades 3, 4 and 5, four students were chosen to the ELECTIVE COUNCIL.  The elective council members are: President- Dennis Garcia, Vice President- Delia Looby, Secretary- Ariel Concepion and Treasurer- Katie Andrade.  The runners up were appointed to the position of Senator (otherwise known as Cabinet Members).  Throughout the course of the year the members of Student Government will hold fundraisers, collaborate with the PTA, host activities for the school, and will be involved in community service projects, such as a Holiday Food Drive.  Information regarding the Food Drive and other projects is forthcoming.
